The Galiwin'ku Community Incorporated is responsible for waste management at Galiwin'ku with a clear direction to enhance and protect public health and safety, to provide a safe working environment, to minimise waste generation and the environmental impact of waste treatment and disposal and to facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements. The Council ensures that all waste is handled and disposed of safely.

The rubbish truck and drivers collect rubbish daily from all households at Galiwin'ku and dispose of the rubbish at the Galiwin'ku dump site. Landfill is the traditional disposal method for waste.
